Teeth Whitening ProcedureWe begin each teeth whitening appointment with an examination to make sure all your fillings are fine and that none of your teeth will be damaged by the gel. At Lawn Dental Center the examination is included in the cost of teeth whitening, so you will not face an additional fee. After your examination we make an impression of your teeth. From the impression, we construct custom fit trays that you will wear over your teeth for a minimum of 20 minutes per day. The trays hold the whitening gel that we provide for you properly in place on your teeth. You'll do this for about two weeks, or until you reach your desired level of whiteness. How Chicago Teeth Whitening WorksThe active ingredient in your whitening gel is a peroxide, which penetrates deep into the enamel and dentin of your teeth. This gel releases tiny bubbles of oxygen that literally oxidize all your teeth stains away. Every berry, every cup of coffee, every cigarette, or bite of curry powder will be completely bleached away. Your teeth will shine brighter and whiter than your first unspoiled baby teeth.
